This is a new project building on the rural Artist Residency contexts that Artlink has been developing.

There will be a three month Artlink Studio Residency in Autumn 2012 and final works will be presented as public/street-based interventions and projections and events in the main public streets of Buncrana.

The artist’s Artlink Studio Residency will include several open studio and workshop days and there will be a major participatory element to the project.

The artist will be responding to local research into the 1948 Wolfe Tone pageant in Buncrana, when the community here re-enacted as a pageant the capture and arrest of Wolfe Tone in Buncrana in November 1798 for the 150th anniversary of the event. The project will be programmed as part of the Donegal County Council led 'One Donegal' project in November, on cultural diversity, cross-border and broader intercultural projects which will assist in facilitating the commmunity engagement strand with a set of workshops to develop within the project
